Vaccination

Vaccination is a preventive measure that helps pets develop immunity to infections.

Note! Veterinary specialists at the Friend clinic advise following a clear vaccination schedule to protect your pet from many dangerous diseases.

Why vaccinate your pets regularly?

Both cats and dogs are subject to vaccination, regardless of their lifestyle. It is also necessary to vaccinate pets that have constant access to the street, since there are diseases transmitted from animals to humans (rabies is among the most dangerous).

Some infections are resistant to the environment; you can even bring them home on shoes or outerwear.

Vaccination is also required in the following situations:

  • if you are planning a trip out of town or to another country;
  • the owner had contact with stray animals.

What vaccines are there?

There are several types of vaccines. They are classified according to the number of diseases from which they protect pets:

  • monovalent – protect pets from one disease,
  • bivalent – protect against two infections,
  • polyvalent – prevent the occurrence of three or more diseases.

In most cases, pets are vaccinated immediately with complex preparations. Additionally, a vaccination against rabies and/or leptospirosis is added.

Important! It is better to vaccinate pets in a veterinary clinic in specially equipped rooms to maintain the health of the pet and prevent unwanted consequences and complications.

The veterinarians at the Friend Clinic will not only vaccinate your pet painlessly and comfortably, but will also give a list of recommendations for care, diet and lifestyle that should be followed after vaccination.
